First breath of fall

The blustery winds out there today feel like a great big sigh. Fall feels like it's heaving itself into place. I know it's not likely to stay, his sister Summer will likely jostle with it a while longer, but he's made his presence known. Certainly the sun is still plenty strong, but the breeze carries a bit of a bite. This makes my heart glad. Fall is my very favorite season. Favorite holiday really. The whole season is one big celebration to me. I'm so very happy he's sliding on to the scene. And on that note, fall brings garden bounties, which I am off to collect.
